For our clients at Schiphol, Menzies, and Swissport, we are constantly seeking reinforcements throughout the year.
Every month, we provide training for this purpose.
Ground stewards/stewardesses, full-time (scheduled) or part-time.
At the always dynamic Schiphol, you will assist passengers from check-in to boarding. You will meet people from all over the world, so being able to express yourself well in English is essential. No workday is the same. Does this sound like the perfect job for you? Read on quickly and apply!
Job:
You are responsible for checking in passengers and labeling luggage using an internal computer system. You guide passengers from check-in to boarding (check-in services and gate services). Any issues that arise need to be resolved promptly. You may be assigned to various handlers, making the work very diverse as you will be handling different airlines. If you don't want to work full-time on a schedule, you can provide us with your availability on a weekly basis (minimum 10 hours per week). Shift times range from 3-hour shifts to 8-hour shifts. That means you can work when it suits you! Schiphol is operational 24/7.
Requirements:
Completed MBO education, Havo, VWO, or currently enrolled in HBO;
Knowledge of tourism and topography;
Excellent social skills;
Excellent proficiency in English;
Minimum age of 18;
Minimum of 8 years registered in a Dutch municipality (or be able to await 1,5 month for work permission on Schiphol;
Stress-resistant;
Willing to undergo an internal full-time training course for 2 weeks;
Maximum 1-hour travel distance from Schiphol.
The gross hourly wage is approximately EUR 15.00 from the age of 17, excluding surcharges. On weekends, this can quickly increase to approximately EUR 19.00.
Training sessions are provided every month by trainers at SkyCademy, our training center at Schiphol.
